Ocean

The Ocean software system is a branch of Ian Piumarta's COLA (Combined Object-Lambda Architecture). Please study the COLA documentation to understand the motivation and basis for Ocean. Ocean closely tracks COLA development, and adds features needed by other FIG software projects that may or may not be added to the main COLA sources.

Ocean is a software platform; it encompasses features typically divided between programming languages, system libraries, and the kernel. It offers complete flexibility to programmers wanting to modify any layer of the system at runtime. Ocean Completes Every Anarchist's Notion. Ordinary C Eventually Adds Nothing. Only Compilers End Application Needs. Obeys Crotchety Experts And Novices. Et cetera.

When Ocean is more stable, there will be coordinated releases, but for now everything is in flux. You probably want to view instructions for obtaining the latest Ocean sources, browse the ChangeLog or the patches.
